Linking Devices To your Account
To link your Roku device to your account
Open the Channel on the Roku
Press * to display settings, this displays the activation code
At Qesign.tv, go to your dashboard
Click on Add New Device
Input the activation code in the first box, and a name for the device in the second
Click Add new device
You should see a success message on both the TV and your dashboard. If not, make sure you have the current channel. Also, make sure the code is displayed at the time you enter it
Note - if you are trying to link using a long code such as B123456 you are using the old Channel and need the new channel. The codes on the new channel are shorter, such as A123
Creating a Layout
There are four types of layouts:
Horizontal - Multi Zone
Horizontal - Full Page Slideshow
Vertical - Multi Zone
Vertical - Full Page Slideshow
This is a sample Horizontal, multi zone layout
Each device needs a playlist. A playlist is one or more layouts that the device will display.
Light and standard users may only have a single layout per device (the layout will loop continuously).
Loops - The number of loops is not relevant when you have just one layout assigned to a device. The device will loop continuously no matter what the number of loops is set to.
The loop value is used to determine the number of times a layout is played before it moves to the next layout on the playlist.
Schedule your playlists to update automatically with this features. You select a device, time, and day of the week (or every day), and the layout(s) to display.
How does it work? The schedule updates the device playlist on the day and time that you want your playlist to change. For example,
you may want the playlist to change to "Lunch Layout" at 11:00 am every day. You would add a schedule of - Every Day, 11am, "Lunch Layout".
When Quickesign sees this entry at 11am, it will automatically change the playlist on the device to "Lunch Layout". When your device next updates,
it will start playing the new layout. Standard, Pro, and Enterprise versions get updates every 10 minutes and the light version get updates every hour.
All files that you upload are saved in your library. You can add files to your layout using the library files or upload additional files. Currently, we are not limiting your library size, but there will be limitations depending on version in the future.
This new version of Quickesign works on all Roku devices (including Roku TV). We highly recommend newer model Rokus and the Roku Stick instead of Roku Express models. Quickesign also runs on Amazon Fire TV.
From the dashboard, you can select the Change Version button to try the different versions. All versions use the same Roku channel, you just have to select the different version from the website.

It is a good idea to make Quickesign the screensaver for you Roku device. In the event of a power outage, Quickesign will start when the power comes back and the screensaver kicks in.
However, music and video files will not run in screensaver mode. A nice solution is this channel:
You can configure this as your screensaver to launch Quickesign in full feature mode. In other words, all features of Quickesign will work.
How to get more help
See the chat box in the bottom right - that is a great way to chat about features and get questions answered
Send email to email@example.com . We answer emails around the clock, 7 days a week, so this is a great way to get help.
Call 913-645-2597 - we provide limited phone support as well.
If you hear a periodic click, this is the simulation of a button click to prevent your display from going to a screensaver.
You can remove the click sound in the Roku settings. Go to Settings -> Audio - > Menu Volume. Set this to Off.
Videos must be MP4 files smaller than 100mb. Use this free tool to resize your video:
All content is copied to the Roku on startup. This can take a while with bigger videos, so it is a good idea to keep them as small as possible.
Quickesign is not designed to handle a large number of big videos. You will have the best performance if you can keep the size and number of videos to a minimum.
Quickesign supports rotating your TV 90 degrees to create a tall, vertical layout. Mount your TV 90 degrees turned counterclockwise.
Some features are not currently supported in vertical mode - including videos and most widgets.
Weather - Choose from 3 different layouts for weather by zip code. Choose a weather format that has a similar shape to your zone.
Twitter - Used to display your latest tweets. All that is needed is your username to add and the number of recent tweets. This will show the image and the caption.
News - Select an RSS feed or enter a custom feed. If you don't find a feed you like or can't get your custom feed to work, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Instagram - Link your Instagram account to display recent posts. You need to log into your Instagram account on the same computer as you are using to access Quickesign.
External - This is an external link to a file. It must be a direct link to a video or image file (not a Youtube link). Used to link to a file on your own website such as https://www.mysite.com/images/image.png
Snapshot - This allows a public webpage to display as a slide. The page will be updated periodically.
Script - Used to add a Twitter script or Google calendar script which will display as a slide in your slideshow.
