How to Set Up Quickesign on an LG webOS Consumer TV

Turn your LG smart TV into a digital sign with the Quickesign app. Display menus, announcements, promotions, images, and videos, then manage your content online from your computer or phone.

Quickesign is now available for LG consumer TVs running webOS, in addition to LG commercial signage displays. Install the app directly on a supported TV to get started without an external media player.

This guide is for LG consumer smart TVs. If you have an LG commercial signage display, follow the separate LG webOS Commercial Signage Setup Guide.

Before you begin

  • Connect your LG webOS TV to the internet using Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
  • Have your LG remote available to install and open the app.
  • Sign in to your LG account on the TV when prompted to download apps.
  • Have a Quickesign account and a computer or phone available to link your screen and manage its content.

App availability can vary by TV model, webOS version, and region. Check your TV's app store for Quickesign.

1. Update your LG TV

Check for available TV software updates before installing Quickesign. On many models, go to Settings > All Settings > Support > Software Update > Check for Updates. On older models, look under General > About This TV.

Follow the TV's instructions to complete any updates. Menu names and locations may differ by model and webOS version.

2. Install the Quickesign app

  1. Press the Home button on your LG remote.
  2. Open Apps or LG Apps. On older TVs, open the LG Content Store.
  3. Select the search icon and search for Quickesign.
  4. Select Quickesign from the results, then choose Install.
  5. Once installation is complete, select Launch to open the app.

3. Link the TV to your Quickesign account

  1. Leave Quickesign open on the TV and note the linking code shown on the screen.
  2. On your computer or phone, sign in to Quickesign.
  3. Open the link-device screen and enter the code displayed on your TV.
  4. Complete the linking process so the TV appears in your Quickesign account.

4. Add content to your screen

Create a layout or choose an existing one. Your layout can contain your images, videos, text, and other signage content.

  1. Open Screens in Quickesign.
  2. Find your LG TV and select Edit.
  3. Add the layout you want to the screen's playlist.
  4. Save your changes and check the TV to confirm that the correct content is playing.

A playlist with one layout repeats that layout continuously. See Adding Layouts to Your Screen's Playlist for more details.

Opening Quickesign again

To return to your digital sign after using another app, press Home and select Quickesign from your installed apps. After turning the TV off and back on, check that Quickesign is open and your content is playing.

Troubleshooting

I cannot find Quickesign in the app store

Confirm that the TV is connected to the internet, check for software updates, and make sure the LG Services Country setting matches your actual location. If the app still does not appear, contact us with your TV model, webOS version, and country so we can check availability.

The app will not install

Check your internet connection, sign in to your LG account, accept any required LG app-store agreements, and confirm that the TV has enough available storage.

The TV is linked, but my content is not showing

Keep Quickesign open on the TV. In your account, confirm that you have selected the correct screen and assigned a layout to its playlist. Check the TV's internet connection, then restart the TV and reopen Quickesign if needed.
