Vertical/Portrait Screens

Quickesign supports rotating your screens 90 degrees counterclockwise so it is a vertical/portrait display rather than landscape.

Roku Vertical Screen

A Roku screen should be rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise to use the Quickesign vertical screen. To set up a Roku vertical screen:

  • Mount the TV rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise
  • Create a layout and choose the Orientation Vertical/Portrait. This works for both multizone and full screen layouts
Quickesign for the Roku rotates all content including videos, images, and text so you may use any feature with the vertical setup.

The other option with the Roku, is to use a simple slideshow horizontal layout. You can then rotate the images in the layout or upload them rotated.

Vertical Screen for FireTV and GoogleTV

Non Roku devices have a bit different approach to
  • Mount the TV rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise
  • Create a layout and choose the Orientation Vertical/Portrait. This works for both multizone and full screen layouts
  • On the device, press the menu button which is the button with 3 horizontal lines. This brings up a side menu with the option to choose Orientation. Choose Landscape/Vertical.
Videos are not currently supported in vertical mode for FireTV and GoogleTV
